Kenny Heitz

Kenny Heitz was born and raised in Pheonix, Arizona. From an early age, he became interested in art, and began experimenting with many different mediums. He began using art as an outlet to express how he viewed the world. In his early 20?s he traveled to Helena, Montana to pursue his interest in ceramics and sculpture. After moving to Boston, MA in 2008, Kenny began working with mixed-media on many different surfaces. He uses a vast amount of different materials and tools to create his art and has spent the past several years refining his approach, manipulating scribbles in a way so that they take on a new shape, creating an image. He focuses on using circles and lines to create a concrete image in an abstract way, and is attracted to earth tones with pops of bright contrasting colors. Kenny typically works on several paintings simultaneously and derives new ideas from his projects in what appears to be controlled mistakes. Through his art, Kenny hopes people will view his work in a unique, non-traditional perspective and, to look at life’s obscurity and beauty in its simplicity.
