McKenzie Paulos

I am currently working on my BFA with a 2D emphasis, I will graduate in a couple semesters form Weber State University. I\'d like to get my masters from New York, London or California. I work in acrylic on canvas and board mostly. I like to try to keep my paintings in the same setting, as if they are characters from a story. It\'s contemporary, surreal formalism. Music and the stresses of being an adult are what really gets my ideas going. Mostly musicians like Ty Segall, and bands like The Good the Bad and the Queen, The Clash and the Avalanches. Psychedelic patterns and disproportionate figures as well as my idea of \"sticking it\" to what is usually \"popular\" in art. My art is mostly based on that mourning of having to have to grow up and not being able to be a free kid anymore.
