Photography – Chicago

At 21 years old, I consider myself an artist on the rise. I fell in love with photography four and a half years ago as an alternative artistic outlet to my work as an actor. Beginning with a photoshoot that made the NAACP's ACT-SO national competition named New Heights in 2015, I have done shoots that revolve around capturing the faces of young black and brown people revolving around the themes of liberation, self-love, pride, and fun. I enjoy capturing photos of people and making them smile-- having them see themselves in ways they usually don't. On top of these portraits, I love capturing Chicago's atmosphere--especially the architecture as well as the nature that can be found in the city and its neighboring suburbs. I consider my growing catalog a diverse mix of different genres of images that all go through my head while I live my life. While most of my biggest projects are of people, I don't consider one type of photography to be my favorite. I photograph the snapshots in my head.
