Kiirstin Marilyn

Music – New York - NYC

Kiirstin Marilyn is a New York City based artist in the eletropop/trip-hop genre. With a life steeped in music and performance, Kiirstin isn\'t just at home on the stage - she was born to it. After a childhood focused on musical theater and drama, culminating with a BA in Theater Performance and an extended role in a nationally touring Broadway revival of Cabaret, Kiirstin entered the world of live original music by joining Hoboken-based progressive rock band Ground to Machine. 3 bands and several albums later, Kiirstin decided it was time to \"go solo,\" and she donned the name Kiirstin Marilyn in late 2011. In March of 2012 she released her debut solo EP \"Something to Die For\" produced by Todd Weinstock (Glassjaw, Men Women & Children), Brian DeNeeve (From Autumn to Ashes, touring guitarist for The Wanted), and Lynn Verlayne. Mixing big-band orchestration, hip-hop percussion, R&B melodies, and vocals that soar from Jazz Age crooning to heartbreaking intimacy and everything in between, Kiirstin has crafter a sound as eclectic and remarkable as the woman herself. Deeply grounded in musical history yet endlessly inventive, Kiirstin Marilyn promises to be like nothing you\'ve ever heard before and won\'t ever forget. Kiirstin Marilyn tours regionally in the Northeast US as well as internationally with past shows in London, UK, Dublin, IE, and Toronto, CA.
