Originally from Rocky Mount, NC Kimberly Joy received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Howard University in Washington, DC, and earned her commission as an Officer in the Army Nurse Corps. After serving over twelve years in the military, Kimberly decided to pursue her passion of photography and moved back to North Carolina to attend the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham. Kimberly\'s beauty and fashion portraits are bold, graceful, and classy. She infused sleekness, and sophistication, in a comfortable setting to reveal her clients\' inner beauty. She is a featured guest blogger for the 50 Shades of Black; a platform for sharing and healing using personal stories and art to foster a global dialogue about sexuality and skin tone in the formation of identity. Kimberly\'s work has been displayed at Carrack Modern Art Gallery, The Art Institute Quarterly Student Exhibitions and Durham Public Library. She is currently working towards her Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography.
