Music – Winnipeg

Born in Manitoba to parents migrating from West Africa, Qway-C grew up to appreciate the beauty in Canada and all it represented culturally. Music was a big part of this growth. Singing was a way to express himself, and in middle school, Qway-C started writing poems and songs as a hobby. After a couple high school performances in choir and class, he took the leap to writing his own music, starting with a McDonald's jingle for his Employees Appreciable Night event at work. It developed into a way of life, leading to opening performances for Elephant Man and J Holiday. His R&B EP titled "Labor of Luv" was released early 2017 and encompasses his journey to a solo career, after signing a 2 year recording contract with a local label Young Successful Music Group in 2014. Qway-C has a lot in store for his fans, with ideas for both club bangers and soulful tracks. The future remains exciting for Qway-C in 2017.
