Visual Art – Kansas City
I am a local Kansas City artist. I am a scenic painter for Kansas city theaters and a recipient of the 2012 Kennedy Center Award for scenic artistry . I have been a tattoo artist and painter for most of my life. I started out as a commercial artist and soon realized that was not for me, I just couldn\'t sit behind a computer all day. I wanted to get my hands dirty. I moved to New York for a few years then I moved to France for six years where I had a retro thrift store and tattoo shop. After living out of two suitcases and a carry on for so long I started missing home and my family so I returned to the states and had my son a year later , who was diagnosed with Autism. He is now 15 and Awesome. I\'ve been pretty lucky to wake up everyday and create art for a living. I really could not ask for anything more, its been one adventure after another and I cant wait to see what happens next. Life is Good.
