Visual Art – New York - NYC
This emerging artist is considered a visionary in different art forms. Born in New York City, Lidia Santana has been exposed to the streets and the music industry via her father. She graduated from Five Towns College in 2001 as a Jazz Commercial Performer. She has performed in several schools, churches, nursing homes, weddings and holiday functions.
Although she spent most of her years being a musician, she developed photography as a hobby. She considers herself a mix media artist. Her first exhibition was in April 2014 at the E Gallery in Brooklyn, NY when she was dubbed the queen of selfies.
Towards the end of 2014 she decided to expand her visual artistry by becoming a painter. She has used many sources of material to create what she imagines. Lidia Santana believes in art, there are no rules. There is no reason to be perfect when there are no rules.
