Beauty – Philadelphia
Lahar grew up in a small town in central New Jersey. At a young age
she started in competitive gymnastics. Her creativity blossomed at
this time, she would create matching hair pieces for team to wear.
After high school she attended The Fashion Institute of Technology for
only a short year with fashion merchandising as her major. But she
felt like this was not her passion and then went on to cosmetology
school. She did hair for over 8 years, and realized she wanted a life
change. So she went head first into makeup artistry. Her desire
stemmed from her love of fashion and it was the marriage of two arts.
With no formal training in makeup she has worked in runway, editorial,
bridal and fashion. Her focus is on enhancing her clients natural
beauty and making them feel comfortable and beautiful. She uses
airbrush foundation which creates a flawless look that photographs
beautifully. She is fond of creating avant-garde looks but also is
comfortable with doing natural, glamorous looks.
