Larry Rogers

Photography – Seattle

Larry Rogers grew up in Bellevue, Washington and first started exploring with a camera at age 15. Since then he has worked professionally photographing children, animals and landscapes. For 15 years, he ran a successful portrait business, photographing children for schools, teams, and dance studios. He has had his work featured in Arabian Horse magazine, in addition to winning awards from Kodak, Pixoto, and at the Edmonds Art Festival. “Nothing gives me as much pleasure as capturing an amazing moment in time – a drop of rain, a sunrise, the moon over a mountain. The right photo can forever depict the spirit reflected in an animal’s eye or the light in a child’s smile.” Larry has also photographed weddings, senior portraits and family portraiture. His experience includes commercial work, as well. He likes to photograph things that reflect the simple beauty of what we frequently take for granted. He is completely self-taught and continues to expand his range of knowledge with an emphasis on learning from classic photographers. Larry’s artistic style reflects his passion for color, simplicity and pattern. He loves mid-century design and architecture. When he is not out taking photos, he is playing with his two children or restoring vintage cars.
