Lauren Overstreet

Performing Art – Atlanta

Lauren Overstreet studied and trained in dance from age 3 at Susan Chamber School of Dance in Alpharetta, GA. There, she trained in many styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and musical theater, as well as voice and acting. While pursuing a degree in Geology from the University of Georgia, she was a member and choreographer of Xtensity Atlanta, a member and choreographer of Dancefx Concert Dance Company, and show coordinator and choreographer for Pamoja Dance Company at UGA. Currently, Lauren teaches and sets choreography at numerous studios throughout the tri-state area, with whom she has won several choreography awards. She has been the music video choreographer for both Emergent Heart\'s \"Top Shelf\" and Pacific UV\'s \"Funny Girl\", and she was a choreographer for Dancefx Concert Dance Company\'s \"Alice : Lessons in Wonderland\". Recently, she choreographed and helped staged the opening number for the annual Flagpole Music Awards in Athens, GA with musician Brett Vaughn. Lauren is also currently a member of Project 7 Contemporary Dance Company, under the direction of Cherrise Wakeham. Photo credits to Will Teeter and Devin Waldrop
