Lemon Artistry

I\'m a native New Yorker (upstate, don\'t get all excited now) and moved to the valley in the fall of 2006 after graduating with my Professional Degree in Architecture with a Minor in Studio Arts. Art and design has been a part of my life since an early age. Throughout high school and college I continued to expand and improve my creative and design abilities. Photography sort of came to me unexpectedly during college and early in my career. I realized how my creative eye could capture emotion, beauty, and memories, along with thoroughly enjoying what I was doing. Painting has always been with me as far back as I remember. Throughout high school I was encouraged to go to college for Fine Arts but I geared my education toward a technical design career so that I could keep the creativity alive in me and still make a living. The aesthetic of my work is strongly focused on the natural world, I love landscapes and color! Many of my current paintings are abstract pieces that have just popped into my head with texture and color. With my photography, I love to go to parks and other public places to just hang out and I bring my camera to capture anything that catches my eye. Sunsets are a big part of that as in AZ the sunsets never fail. I have a long list of national parks and natural phenomena to visit to shoot…in due time. So with that and with much encouragement from family and friends I decided to take my work further and to expand outward to see where the road takes me. I\'m curious to see where this goes and I look forward to experiencing many inspiring avenues of this adventure!
