There has been no time in recent memory when women’s issues have needed more support — from the country’s economic woes hitting disadvantaged women the hardest to proposed reproductive legislation on reproductive rights to continued pay inequality. Feminism is changing, but its importance cannot be underestimated. It is for this reason why Leora received a bachelor of arts degree in women\'s and gender studies from The Evergreen State College. She has an unwavering commitment to social justice, particularly in the area of women’s rights and empowerment. The main focus in her education centered on rape culture and sexual assault, sexism, domestic violence, women’s and gender rights, women’s health, statistics, media, and feminism. Before graduating from The Evergreen State College, Leora had studied fine art at Seattle Central Community College where her collateral concentrations had been drawing, painting, and composition. Creativity has always been and will continue to be part of her life. It is Leora\'s goal that with her knowledge in women\'s studies and visual arts that she create awareness on the issues affecting women, children, and minority groups.
