Photography – Chicago
Chicago based and Michigan made.
My conceptual work focuses on issues of female identity from child to woman; primarily the physical and emotional changes within my own life. I use childhood narratives, symbols, motifs and ideas to create images of innocence turned raw. I love to apply these concepts no matter what realm of photo I do, whether its photographing fashion, musicians, etc. I work in digital and the traditional black and white process as well as video and alternative processes. I enjoy the idea of being very hands-on with my work, letting the process become my staple, my fingerprint.
I gained a Bachelors of Fine Arts with and emphasis in Photography and Intermedia from the Gwen Frostic School of Art at Western Michigan University.
Currently the CEO/Head Photographer of LionTamer Productions & Creative Content Coordinator at SAE Institute Chicago (a Creative Media Education School).
