Visual Art – Oklahoma City

I am an emerging artist that creates visual narratives out of salvaged materials to inspire curiosity and enrich the mind. Currently my work involves threads, repurposed books, found objects and a sewing machine. I use these materials to create stories about my experiences and reaction to the environment. My art career started in a small, farming community in Michigan. I received a BFA in 1990 from the University of Michigan in painting. In 2011, I received a M.Ed in Art Education from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. In-between my degrees I painted abroad in Italy, Ireland and France. In addition, I was a selected educator to participate in a Study Tour program in Japan. When I\'m not making art, I teach art to ignite the creativity that lives in all of us. I currently reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.
