Gatsby

I am a hip hop artist by the name of Gatsby. I come from a small city in the high desert called Hesperia. I have been working on music since the age of 14 but have barely reached, what I consider, some type of mastery about a year ago. I have one mixtape that I released this summer called Underestimated and another that I am set to drop in February. I chose the name Gatsby because it represents a sort of underdog who slowly made his way from the bottom and I finally earned a spot among the upper echelons of his society. In spite of his struggles and try as he may, in the end, he is never truly accepted by his peers. Musically, I feel the same way, my sound is very main stream but unfortunately I am still struggling to find acceptance in this modern mesh of struggling artists trying to etch their names and leave their mark permanently in the unforgiving stones of time. I have been to many Raw Artists events with my associates Meezy, Ghost Digital Poetic Sky, and my Vatican Clothing family. During these Raw events I have had the opportunity to see many different artists perform and hear many different types of music, however, I have yet to see anyone that makes the style of music that I make. For the aforementioned reason I think I would compliment the Raw artist roster with my brand of hip hop and I think the attendees would enjoy it very much as well.
