Liz Lea

Liz is the Artistic Director of Liz Lea & Co and Canberra Dance Theatre and Associate Director at QL2 Dance. Specialising in cross cultural and historically based dance works she presented her critically acclaimed 120 Birds inspired by Anna Pavlova in 2012. In May 2013 she premiered InFlight inspired by the early Aviators and Australian wildlife. She is currently Choreographer in Residence at CSIRO Discovery and is Director of DANscienCE, a dance and science symposium held in Canberra for National Science Week, August 2013. She is also working on a solo for Indigenous dance artist Tammi Gissell. Liz has worked internationally for 20 years with commissions from the Royal Opera House, Mavin Khoo, KZN Dancelink, South Africa, Maya Dance Theatre, Singapore and Darpana, India.
