LizZieMoVeS Co. is a dance and multimedia performance company dedicated to the work and the play of movement, and to promoting social change through collaborative performance. The company supports the creation and production of contemporary dance, music, video art, and sculptural installation. Lizzie Karr, Artistic and Executive Director, graduated from NYU with a BFA in Dance in 2007, then began LizZieMoVeS in NYC where the company appeared in guest performances at the Merce Cunningham Studios, and in several commissioned works for the United Nations. Other commissions have included “Charged” (Portland), MOVE (Tacoma), Ten Tiny Dances (Portland and Tacoma), Portland Jazz Festival, and OMI Festival (San Francisco). The company is now located in San Francisco and produces evening length performances, dance shorts, and dance for camera.
