LOCAL ART COLLECTIVE. is a local revolution!
Local integration is not only good for our artists, but for our community and our local culture. The idea behind our organization is simple: sell clothing with designs created by local artists, submitted by local artists, using only the finest fair trade clothing and printing all garments in good ol’ Vancouver. Our first objective is to use the medium of clothing to showcase and promote local talent, to develop a unique and locally influenced clothing style. Second, we\'d like to give back and support local talent in a city which faces challenges. British Columbia remains absolutely the lowest per capita funder of the arts in Canada. Every Local Art Collective shirt that is purchased, a percentage of the selling price will go to the corresponding artist. This means that every time a piece of LAC clothing is purchased, we are getting the work of a local artist out into the world, and some money back into the world the local artist.
