Magda Loczi

Accessories – San Diego

A lover of the natural beauty of semi-precious materials and simple, wearable designs, designer Magda Loczi incorporates symbolism and storytelling with her line of globally inspired semi-precious jewelry. Her love affair with art began as a three-year-old as she shadowed her father in his art studio. Surrounded by other creatives, her love of jewelry blossomed in college when she began as apprentice to Japanese American designer, Jill Pearson at Wasabi Jewelry. She later went on to become director of product development for Dogeared Jewels, where she developed the full line of jewelry and gifts, some of which are still best sellers for the brand today. Her interests grew to focus on global brands, leading to her manage the jewelry category for Disney\'s consumer products division and later expand to global product development across a spectrum of product categories. The fruits of her labor can still be found at major retailers across the globe. As exciting as the world of big business can be, she found herself returning to her roots in 2013, again focusing on the artisan quality and craftsmanship of handmade jewelry that inspired her originally. In her spare time she is also enjoys photography, documentary filmmaking (see LOCZIlens) and is an avid supporter of the independent arts scene.
