Hello everyone. My name is Olivia Butkiewicz and I am an Artist.
I have my Associates Degree in Commercial Painting and Illustration as well as My Bachelor\'s Degree in Fine Arts. I am looking to obtaining my Master\'s in Fine Arts soon.
Like most artists, I\'ve been doing art since I could hold a pencil. I was bullied growing up and art was my only outlet/friend. Art as a whole allowed me to express my feelings whether it was via paint, pencil, or whatever I could get my hands on. I dabbled lots into the anime and cartoon scene because I could fall into their world and be a different person, then I fell madly in love with the human figure!
I love to use the full spectrum of color so that I have the freedom to express the full range of emotion. I favor the drip style because it also helps me break through the outer anatomical boundaries, simultaneously adding an air of uncertainty.
I find most of my inspirations come with intense life experiences; experiences that cause me to grow in a profound way. I believe this is how people form layers and I want to show this through my artwork.
