My name is Peggy, known artistically as KivaWoman. I was born in a small town in Colombia, South America. I have been raised in Colorado since I was young and have established a great life. What inspires me the most is bright color and shape. The medium I prefer to work in is acrylic. I enjoy painting on canvas, ceramics, wood, pexi glass and whatever I can put paint on. I incorporate materials such as recycled plastics, rock gems,shells and leather cuts out in my work. The idea of being able to touch as well as view paintings fascinates me. I believe my art is spirited because I am inspired by people and things from my surroundings and create my ideas through art.
