Maciek Stepnik

Maciek Stepnik grew up in Poland exposed to the aftermath of war and destruction. Exploring abandoned factories and military bases with his 35 mm camera shooting with black and white film as a hobby, which soon became more, it turned into a passion. He explored other ventures before attending Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. Stepping outside of reality, his work explores the subconscious and the shadows that lingers therein. His most recent work is shot in infrared: revealing a layer beyond the visible spectrum. These images evoke surrealism, the ethereal, and the darkness of human nature.
