Mad Fat Cat Manda

Photography – Houston

I\'m a beautiful, cis-gendered, fat-bodied, latina-american-chicana 23 year old woman living in a low-class situation where aluminum siding and wood panel walls have been seen a lot in my life. I\'m a photographer struggling to be a photographer and I mean this in every way. I love art, activism, feminism, open minds, safe spaces, and anything fair. I\'m not into society-driven, narrow minds, the elite and widely accepted groups of America or oppression. I will stand up for issues and topics I feel are highly unfair and contribute to the destruction of real, true human emotion. It has been a hard struggle for me to even receive the proper education in order to even create my art work. My work may reflect, sometimes, the care-free, calm, easy-going lifestyle that I was never able to live and enjoy. I like to convey good moods, positive vibes and a sunny atmosphere. I represent people and groups who don\'t normally receive regular representation in wide society outlets such as fashion magazines, advertisements etc. You will find people of color, people of size and un-ordinary people posing as if they know their faces will be plastered across a hundred foot billboard for all of the world to see. Some of my more personal work documents the realism behind my actual life, my family and my passions.
