Beauty – Melbourne
Hello, my name is Charada, and I am a vegan makeup artist! I have been playing with makeup for longer than I can remember (I was that little girl with texta all over her face trying to wear lipstick like Madonna) and over the years it has evolved, and then evolved again.
I have a love/hate relationship with cosmetics. I love the way that the right lipstick can make a client feel on a not so great day, and seeing a bride look at herself like the beautiful woman she really is. I love the art! I love creating images, scenarios, emotions.
What I don\'t like is the culture of not being able to leave the house \'without my face on\'. It took me a very long time to realise that I was more than even skin tone and black lashes, and part of what I do is help people rethink beauty.
AS I mentioned, I am a vegan makeup artist. This means that I only use products and tools that contain no ingredients derived from animals, and that are never tested on animals. In fact, I am so passionate about truly cruelty free makeup and beauty that I have created a searchable vegan makeup database. I want to help each and every one of you choose options that do no harm.
