Performing Art – Atlanta

I grew up in a small town in Vermont where there was very little education in the arts. However, I still fell in love with performing arts and jumped on any chance to be on stage. I sang in choir, performed in musicals and took a few dance classes. I began dancing around age 3, but was unable to train the way I would have liked due to finances. It was because of this that I never thought I could have a career in the arts. It was during college that I immersed myself in choreography. I began not only performing in musicals at my school and community theaters, but also choreographing them. I began to develop my own unique style. After I graduated college with a degree in Theatre, Music and Non-Profit management, I moved to Atlanta looking for more opportunity. I have taught ballroom dance for 2 years and danced as a scholarship student at Gotta Dance Atlanta. More recently, I have found opportunities to present my choreography, in showcase such as RAW, Emerging NCW and Mad Expressions. I was selected as a 2014/ 2015 Drawing Board Choreographer with Dance Canvas. My work will also be presented at the 2015 Phazes of Love Showcase. I am excited for what the Atlanta arts community holds for me! Shoutout to Corbin Brown, She is Me Photography, Lisa Li and Fell2Photography for the photos listed to your right!
