Visual Art – Tucson

As a young child, native Tucsonan MAM remembers spending Sunday afternoons watching classic horror films on an old black & white TV. The monsters left a lasting impression that remains with him today. As a graphic design student, MAM drew inspiration from Pop Art icons like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. The bold lines and vibrant colors spoke to him, and he began to interpret his own kitschy visions in media as diverse as T-shirts and custom-designed cakes. MAM stays true to his Tucson roots by blending Day of the Dead imagery with unforgettable pop culture icons. Whether it\'s a Hollywood monster, a devil skull, or a vintage cereal box, MAM\'s portraits are sure to make you smile.
