Maplefly

Maplefly has been an ongoing overflow of my passion to create. I would draw constantly as a child, encouraged by my family who loved my drawings. This lead to creative adventures in 3 dimensional forms in art classes at school and outside of school. In my late teens I found myself in a job at a florist shop,where I worked and trained as a florist for three years before leaving to study and receive an associate diploma in jewellery design. With a fellow student I ventured in to the world of market stalls in Sydney, where we sold our own unique jewellery leading us to open our own little gallery where we designed, made and sold our jewellery and other peoples artworks. We worked together for 10 years before I decided I needed a sea change and left Sydney for the south east coast of Queensland. I now live with my family and dog in a beautiful little valley with a creek that runs by our house. My surroundings a constant source of inspiration. I still get excited about drawing and creating jewellery and this has lead me to my little jewellery business.... Maplefly. Named after my ever faithful kelpie....Maple.
