Marlyn Makes (The.Oh.X)

I began making hair accessories in April of 2009 as a way to de-stress and unwind. Originally I only sold my handmade items to close friends and family as well as gave them away as gifts. Eventually I purchased my first sewing machine, taught myself to sew and tried my hand at bow ties, head bands and anything else I could figure out. I like to constantly challenge myself when it comes to my craft. It has definitely been to my advantage, my shop started off as just hair flowers, but now I have added tie clips, cuff links, necklaces, bracelets, rings and many more things to my stock. The items I make and carry in my shop are constantly growing and evolving thanks to my customers / friends / family that push / request me to make things for them. La Catrina and Salon D\' Marbella are my current stockists in Ventura County as well as selling my items online using Etsy. I am the type of person that goes to a store, sees something they like and then utters \"I could make that, I won\'t buy it!\" I usually try and make items I like, it\'s not always a success but then again you can\'t learn how to do something unless you try and fail a few times.
