Marsha Lee (Marsha's Peace Art)

Visual Art – Pittsburgh

Art is my way of life, of survival, of healing. I started creating art as a means to heal from abuse memories. Over the years, art has become a passion and a way of life. A few years ago, I lost the ability to paint with a toothpick due to a brain condition called Chiari Malformation. It was a very scary time in my life. I felt like I had lost my soul. I went through two brain decompression surgeries and recently two shunt surgeries. Now, I am BACK! I am painting again and loving every minute of it. I am grateful for this new life and I am cherishing every minute of being able to create again!
