Performing Art – Jersey City

Martina Steflova is a dancer, choreographer and teacher originally from the Czech Republic specializing in contemporary and lyrical. Martina has been privileged to work on stage, in music videos, television, choreograph projects and be a competitive dancer. Martina performed in the Public Theatre’s Shakespeare in The Park production of The Winter’s Tale featured at Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Martina was a soloist dancer for Czech Slavik Award ("Czech Grammy") singer Petr Janda from the band Olympic at his US. Tour in NYC. She performed at many events in New York City like the Winter’s Eve in Lincoln Square, NY Spotlight Series, Dance Parade, Purdue University, Pepsico corporate event, Holi Hai, Royal Wedding Expo, Asia Society and others. Martina also appeared as a can-can performer at renown International Film Festival Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. Martina Steflova presented her contemporary choreographies at RAW: natural born artists Showcase in Hoboken in 2014 for which she was lately awarded as The Performer of the Year of New Jersey. She also choreographed a piece for the dance festival Dance Astoria. She competed with her own choreography at Showstopper (double platinum award), Sheer Talent (platinum awards) and The Dance Project. She choreographed routines for competitive dancers Kayla Johnson (ASH Assistant), Camryn Tomaszewski (Elite Dance Force), Taylee Hunter (Dance Club) and Maya Wassermann (Broadway Dance Center). Martina travelled throughout Europe participating in Rock’n’Roll dance competitions (including Italy, Austria and Switzerland). She placed 3rd at the 2009 World Cup in Italy in main class girl formations. Martina was awarded the scholarship for the Artists Simply Human workshop experience in 2013. Martina completed 1 year international dance study program at Steps on Broadway in NYC. Martina has instructed master classes and workshops all around The Czech Republic and taught daily classes for adults and children in Prague at the Dance Centre dance studio and at the competitive dance studio Ats Domino, Stonozka Bruntal, ZUS Rymarov, Rytmus Olomouc and Rebels Nachod. Martina teaches classes in NYC/NJ area. Martina continues to grow as a passionate dancer, a devoted performer and an aspiring young choreographer.
