Visual Art – Phoenix

My name is Matt Crux and I'm a Psychedelic Abstract Artist. I primarily use acrylic paint but I’m definitely explorative, I love getting my hands into all kinds of mediums. I don't want to limit myself to the infinite possibilities that exist in this Universe. We are soulfully creative beings and I just wish to express myself in as many ways as possible. I really enjoy psychedelic art because it expands the mind and we can go on a journey into the psyche. Psychedelia in any sense opens the mind to creative angles and opens doors into new perceptions of the human experience. We are constantly being bombarded with visuals and our subconscious mind is taking it in all the time. So when we paint, draw, or create anything we are tapping into our memories and experiences we've had throughout life and actually create our souls for people to see in an expressive art form. I love letting go of preconceptions and conformity while just allowing myself to go on a mind-expanding journey into the subconscious mind as I tap into the higher creative forces of truth that exist within the collective consciousness of society. We can then begin to see a deeper understanding of what it means to be human by seeing new dimensions of reality and angles we may have never thought of before. It allows people to look inside themselves and see who they are by relating to such a radical view. It's all about relations because everything is a reflection of our selves. We grow and develop our sense of self from the world around us. Even when we tap into our higher sense of self and draw inspiration from there, we are tapping into our surroundings because the creative energetic force is apart of the entire Universe. We have been brought up in a society, which has created belief systems that aim to keep people dumbed down and stuck in one-way views through manipulation of media. Through psychedelic art people can start to see all the different possibilities and views. There is always more than one way to view something and we should be open up to other points of view. When we understand where other people are coming from we begin to understand ourselves and true healing can begin. The reason I use explosively vibrant colors is because just as dark and depressing images can make a person feel gloomy, fearful or sad… colorfully vibrant and enlightening images uplift the spirit and heal the body by creating positive thoughts within the brain. Phoenix is rising from the ashes and is well on its way to a full blown Art Revolution that will show the world a new day of Love ? and Peace ?! Art changes the way people think and my art will positively shift world consciousness!
