Mei Mei

Mei uses a combination of a loosely painted style and elements of collage to create surreal landscapes populated by unlikely characters. With an emphasis on fantasy and nature, she implements imagery from National Geographic magazines and nature documentaries (David Attenborough, anybody?) while also drawing inspiration from cartoons and video games to create a world of her own. Mei is currently undertaking her Asian Studies component of a combined Visual Arts/Asian Studies Degree. Her artwork was featured in the 2012 ANU Art School Graduating Exhibition.
