Visual Art – Austin
I was born and raised in Southern California, all around the LA area. My mother is an artist and taught me everything I know. I have been doing chalk art for over 9 years now and have participated in numerous chalk painting festivals throughout the country. Chalk Festivals are a great and unique place for an artist to engage and interact with an audience while working on a piece. It is relate-able in a way that other mediums are not since everyone played with sidewalk chalk as a kid. It is a new way to bring in whole new audiences into the art world that have never really payed attention to it before.
I also do commission work. I think everyone should be able to express their own, unique personalities through art so I love creating custom pieces for people around things they are most interested in. Art is a beautiful thing that everyone should be able to enjoy and afford. There is nothing quite like taking a subject that someone is extremely passionate about and creating a completely unique and custom piece of art for them to take home.
