I am a visual artist living in Washington, DC. I\'ve been painting my entire life. The first person to put a brush in my hand was my Grandmother, Lou Ann Styles. I\'m so grateful to her for sharing her creative gifts with me.
I don\'t think I really discovered how much I love painting until I started using it as a creative outlet during my time at the Naval Academy. I guess it took the structure and discipline of that environment to squeeze it out of me!
Now I am out of the service, living and working in DC. I love our city and the wonderful, thriving creative community that I am discovering. So grateful to be a part of RAW!
