Living in a world that some call a "throw-away" society, I wanted to create beautiful works of art utilizing the things people throw away. When I first started creating art using found or second hand materials, I didn't set out to be an environmental artist or to create artwork that focused solely on recycling. It all began as a way for me to create art without having to buy expensive materials while I was in college. This idea of using recycled materials opened up a door of endless possibilities since there are so many unique things being thrown away or given away on people’s sidewalks. Eventually, it turned into a continuous treasure hunt for objects and materials to push my limits of creating beautiful artworks out of everyday garbage. Most of my work consists of wearable art. I dabble in other forms of art as well, but my passion lies with the wearable aspect. I enjoy the idea of making costumes or clothing out of things other than the usual fabrics.
