Visual Art – St. Louis
Micah Shelton was born in 1976 in St.Louis, Missouri, a city where several artist have emerged. There art is being incorporated in a variety of projects and events. Micah has been an artist in his own way since the age of three. He absorbed what he learned through his spirituality, everyday life, and listening to music. The influence to draw and later paint was carefully established through his younger years. Micah enhanced his skills in drawing as a student at St.Louis Community College- Forest Park. Subsequently, he later refined his skills as an artist.
In 2008, Micah discovered his painting ability on his first canvas painting entitled \"Thrice.\"During that time he realized his ability and gift. He creates soulful, real life, and exciting visuals. Micah\'s work can be found in public and private art collections in Baltimore, MD, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and St.Louis in local venues homes.
Past exhibitions of Micah featured his diversity and determination in art. My first exhibition was held in the University City Hall Rotunda located in St.Louis, MO. Micah is greatly inspired by two phenomenal artists, his local mentors, Solomon Thurman and Ronald Young.
