A traveler, artist and photographer, Mic DBernardo shares her journeys and experiences through her photographs. In addition to photography, Mic’s passions include acrylic and watercolor painting. While her photographs capture fleeting, passing moments from her travels, her paintings depict a more realistic view of life and objects that we come across in our daily lives. Having grown up in a Spanish colonial ancestral home, she is a strong advocate of archiving, preservation, and restoration. Mic has a particular interest in California history as well as the ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica, Greece, and Southeast Asia. Some of her accomplishments include winning a photo contest and being published in the Seattle Visitor’s Guide in 2009, and recently showing her work at the 24th Annual Emeryville Art Exhibition.
