Fashion – Seattle
I was born and raised in Seattle where I earned my BFA in Musical Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts. Although performance/musical theatre is the main focus of my career, I have been bolstering my design business over the last four years, most recently having launched my Etsy shop, MiraAntoinetteDesign. I learned to sew when I saw a terrible movie adaptation of a fantasy novel I had loved; the only redeemable thing about that film was a costume. I decided I wanted to make it for Halloween. My Grandma taught me to use a machine and draft a pattern and over the years I self-taught from there. Now I have been making custom wedding gowns, performing alterations and restorations, and freelance costuming for about five years. I love collaborating with clients on designs and re-using and re-purposing materials.
