Visual Art – San Francisco

Miranda Fae grew up in a small railroad town in Virginia. When she was 18 she moved to San Francisco to study art and fashion at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. While living in San Francisco Miranda launched her eponymous clothing line in 2004 to local and national acclaim. In 2007 Miranda relocated to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico her artwork flourished as she embraced her surroundings. She was deeply inspired by the bright landscape and the warm, vibrant and colorful culture. Miranda opened a clothing and art boutique called Tumbleweed. Under Miranda’s guidance, Tumbleweed became more than a boutique or gallery. Tumbleweed’s nonprofit Art for Art Supplies program encouraged young new artist by providing them with much needed art supplies. Miranda provided direction for the children to paint murals in their community and create their own T-shirt lines. Upon Miranda’s return to San Francisco she continued to paint, make clothes and host many art events. Miranda has return to the east and now resides part time in Durham, North Carolina
