Visual Art – Portland
I am 27 years old and have called the Portland area “Home” for the past 12 years. I have always enjoyed being artistic and creative. After moving to Portland, I discovered Open Studios and have seen many local artists who have inspired me and opened my eyes to new ways of creating art. Throughout my high school years I took as many art classes as possible. After high school, I took a break from my art to travel overseas doing some missionary work. I returned home last winter and began taking painting classes at Portland Community College. I have really jumped head first into my art and expanded my talent as an artist over this past year. I have enjoyed myself in experimenting and stepping out of my comfort zone with different techniques in my painting and drawing.
