Visual Art – Cincinnati
Madeline Filimonov is a twenty two year old Cincinnati native studying fine art at Northern Kentucky University. As a small child, her mother gave her a pen and paper, telling her to create the world as she sees it. From that point on, she never stopped drawing. She soon after found that art making is like breathing to her.
Obsessed with drawing, sculpting, and photography, Madeline strives to showcase through her work the connection between nature and humanity. Growth and decay in nature are perfect metaphors for life’s common up hill and downhill battles. Referencing her own trauma, she hopes that the viewers see a light of hope in each of her pieces. Maybe even, her viewers will make the leap for help if needed.
