Orange County, CA
While working as a musical theatre performer in and around NYC, Molly Mahoney (a native of California) developed an obsession with all things fiber. Touring and performing around the world allowed her to connect with and be inspired by yarn and fiber shops everywhere. She soon knew her passion for performing had met it's match. She relocated back home to Orange County to raise a family and have more space for her gigantic yarn and wool collection. Not only does she knit and crochet, she spins her own yarn and makes her own felt from all natural raw fibers. Her favorite being merino and silk. She enjoys bringing the sense of wimsy and magic she loved about the theatre to pieces of wearable art. When she's not spending time with her bass playing husband or playing with her new baby boy, she's crocheting, knitting, making felt, or teaching one of her many dance, voice, musical theatre and crafting classes in Orange County. You can find out more at www.mollymade.net. Molly is so looking forward to hosting the Santa Ana RAW showcases in the beautiful Yost Theatre and is grateful for all RAW: Natural Born Artists brings to the arts community of Orange County.
No where else are artists of so many different mediums brought together. So much creativity in one spot might be dangerous... but it totally works!
I'm obsessed with finding magic in the simplest of moments.
