Visual Art – Nashville
My name is Morgan Meredith. I'm 23 and from Nashville, TN. I was born and raised in a family full of artists, so I was pretty much born with a sketch pad and pencil in my hand. My mom and I would spend a lot of time drawing Mickey Mouse figures and other doodles, so I got a feel for how shapes were made and how shading worked. From then on, I was in love with art. I had too many art pieces to even count. I never stopped drawing until my teen years when I became really sick. During that time period, I fell out of love with art. I didn't want to look at a canvas for years. My illness killed my inspiration. One night, I picked up a pencil to draw a Mother's Day card for my mom. I was really happy with how it turned out. It was the first thing I had drawn in years, so I tweeted a photo of it. The next day I woke up with two tweets asking if I did custom drawings for tattoo designs. I met with my uncle who helped me set up an Etsy site to sell my custom tattoos on. I used it as a distraction from my illness. I never thought it would go anywhere past those two tattoo designs. As my shop grew stronger, so did I. As of today I am so happy to say that my Etsy site has been in business for almost 3 years. I now sell custom artwork in many forms as well as prints, tapestries, original artwork, and more. I'm happy to say that I am in love with art again. :)
