Morgan St. Jean is a singer- songwriter with a unique and soulful voice whose lyrics touch audiences with their truth and beauty. Having always been intrigued as to why people love, lie, fight, and feel so many different things, the young artist has spent her time exploring the human condition through songwriting. In just 22 years Morgan has already begun to gain respect within the music industry and continues to grow her fan base as her brand and artistry develop. A recent graduate of the prestigious Popular Music Program at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, Morgan is quickly taking over the music world. St. Jean released her first single entitled "Addicted" which has over 80,000 plays and counting and was featured on various music blogs. Described as “a hauntingly poignant ballad (I Heart Moosiq)” and “pure raw passion (Now This Bumps),” her debut single made the statement that this young artist was someone to keep an eye on. Her second single “Drown” was released in January and solidified her position as an up and coming artist on the rise. In October 2016, Morgan released “Reckless Heart” a sultry song full of danger that had Impose Magazine calling it, “A power pop anthem that women everywhere will be singing her praises over.” St. Jean continued her streak of soulful pop anthems with “ Out Of Love” released in November 2016. Popdust called the song “one of the year's biggest and most important moments” and called Morgan “one of the finest storytellers of today's pop music.” She has also garnered respect from some of the most renowned songwriters in the industry: David Foster praised Morgan’s lyric writing ability when she was asked to improvise with him and Randy Newman has said that her songs are mature and catchy. St. Jean has been playing her original music with a full band for the past four years at various Los Angeles venues including; The House of Blues, The Troubadour, and The Witzend. She has also sung the US National Anthem for various sports teams including at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Kings. Morgan has established a clear sense of artistry with her dark pop sensibility and her raw vocal talent and hopes to have a life- long career making music that inspires others.
