Mosby

Music – Portland

Mosby is an Alternative/Rock band from Portland, Oregon. The band was originally formed in late 2009 as a solo acoustic project by Travis Williams. Williams was looking to take a step away from the loud aggressive nature of his previous band The Adio Sequence and create a more minimalistic style of music centered around an acoustic guitar and vocals. As creativity flowed and as the right musicians came into place, it was clear that this couldn\'t be just a solo acoustic project. The group evolved into a hard-hitting rock band, pouring their heart and souls into a combined effort to create excellent music. The band’s debut album “The Sound Alive” was released January 2012 and has been described as “tight groove-able rock’ n’ roll”. Within their first months as a band, Mosby shared the stage with national touring acts including Rehab, Hurt, and more. The band hit the studio once again in the summer of 2012 to complete their EP album “Rogue Waves” which was released in December of 2012. The core of Mosby consists of Dustin Lawrence on bass, Michael Spitler on drums, Nick Linday on lead guitar/backup vocals and Travis Williams providing lead vocals along with rhythm guitar. Mosby continues to be one of the Northwest’s most prominent up and coming rock acts.
