MUAH by J - Makeup & Hair by Janine Novarro

My love of makeup began at an early age when I was inspired by the making of Michael Jackson\'s \"Thriller.\" While I still love to transform people into creatures, I also freelance on weddings, fashion shows, films, photo shoots and many other events. I can move easily from beauty to special effects to face and body painting. I have been certified through James Ryder Makeup Labs and have interned with Michael Burnett Productions. I am also a member of the MAC Pro community. I received my license in Cosmetology in May of 2010, which has allowed me to add hair services as a one-two punch. I currently work at a salon location and continue to freelance, which allows me to get my cut and color fix, while still traveling to location shoots and events. I’m a big fan of continuing education and am a complete sponge when it comes to absorbing new tips and tricks. On the flipside, I love to share my knowledge with other artists. A sense of competition is healthy, but if some of the great teachers I’ve learned from didn’t share with me, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I hope to inspire other artists to reach for their dreams, too. I am still a work in progress, but that’s half the fun of it!
