Visual Art – New York - Brooklyn

I was born, raised, and currently live in Brooklyn, NY. After leaving college midway through my third year, I struggled to find a place for myself. I worked at a clothing store, as a receptionist for an ad agency, as a dog walker, as a nanny. Finally, I picked embroidery back up, which my maternal grandma taught me when I was a kid. After first coming to the States, my grandma, also named Natasha, worked in a factory sewing the elastic bands into underwear and was a long time embroider, well into her late nineties. My work is primarily centered around shapes, colors and textures and strong women.
