Visual Art – Boulder

Angela was born in 1962 in Santa Cruz, California. Raised with a great appreciation – and awe -- for the natural environment, she spent most of her childhood camping and hiking along the coast of California (with joyful family summers spent at Lake Tahoe). A natural artist, family and friends often found Angela with pen, ink, paint, crayons – any and all tools for crafting and adding color and life to any canvas she could acquire. Following her passion to preserve and protect the beauty inherent in nature, she went to Humboldt State University in northern California and obtained her degree in Forestry. She soon landed a job in the great and wild outdoors of Colorado. She spent the next twenty years working for the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, and the Bureau of Land Management -- to ensure that people and nature, and their connected spirit, flourished in the public lands owned by every American. Deciding it was time to pursue her passion for connecting people to the spirit of nature; Angela retired in 2012 and opened up her own art space. Drawing upon her day-in and day-out time upon the land, she is now creating unique, one-of-a-kind art works that she hopes will connect the spirit of nature to the spirit within the people who love art.
