Navia Alejandro is a self-taught artist who grew up in Boyle Heights and South "Central" L.A. Having witness mural paintings around the hood in Boyle Heights, was an encouragement to become a artist. Inspired by the South Central life style, such as the L.A. riots, the loss of friends, and the unity of cultures, Navia began exploring politics and spirituality. Combining the negativity of politics, such as corruption and the loss of words, with the positive vibes of life, art keeps Navia sane and young in life. Currently living in Pomona, Navia is staying in touch with his roots and can be found painting in his studio. To be an Artist cannot Fail. It is a Success to be One.
